Interested in serving on the Guild’s Board of Directors?
Please consider the following expectations related to Board service:
EXPECTATIONS
Attend 75% of all Board meetings and appropriately prepare for each meeting by reviewing agendas, supporting materials, and reports.
In-person meetings happen in both early June and mid- to late-September, typically starting on Friday afternoon and ending with lunch on Saturday.
Monthly 2-hour digital board meetings happen October through April on a schedule set on or before the September in-person meeting.
Serve on and regularly attend the meeting of at least one Board committee (Finance, Development, or Governance). Committees meet once a month during the regularly scheduled Board meeting, and as needed depending upon committee activities.
Consider participating in Guild programs (events, classes, and/or retreats) through the year and actively encourage and recruit new patrons.
Actively participate in the Guild’s fundraising efforts by contacting current and past donors once per year.
Make a monetary donation to the Guild at least once during the year (consider matching gifts, grant sponsorship, and corporate contributions).
Commit the necessary amount of volunteer time to participate in the work of the Guild Board, including committee work, annual Executive Director evaluations, fundraising, reading and understanding financial reports and budgets, and Board-related communication.
