Emergent Composition: Finding Meaningful Tensions and Balances with Given Shapes
With Scott Burnett
May 4 - 10, 2025
The moment we begin making art, we are undertaking the work of composition.
Whether we are thinking about it or not, composition is elemental to art-making. In this class we will actively create composition in the context of acrylic mixed- media and collage.
I will talk about our approach, offer prompts for journaling, and demonstrate techniques. We will have time for sharing and interaction, as well as plenty of space for art-making.
