For over 30 years the Grünewald Guild has served as a creative and innovative example to the world of the transformative power of art and the sacred within the context of community. We are an ecumenical Christian community that embraces people of all journeys and traditions, serving as a sanctuary for their exploration of art, faith and the mystery of creation.

The common thread of my career in the arts has always been as a designer, maker, and instructor of woven fabrics. I am a charter member/owner of By Hand Gallery in Bloomington that opened in 1979. In addition to By Hand Gallery, I currently sell my work at Weaving Southwest, Taos, NM, Penland Gallery, Penland, NC, Marigold Arts, Santa Fe, NM, as well as by commission. I have become a nationally-recognized weaving instructor and have taught at countless weaving workshops and textile conferences since the early 80’s. I taught at Penland School of Craft, Penland, NC, and at Ghost Ranch, Abuquiu, NM in 2009. In 2005, and 2008/2009 I was an Adjunct Weaving Instructor at Earlham College in Richmond, IN. My work has been published in Handwoven, Shuttle Spindle and Dyepot, and Weaving for Worship. I have led Art History and Textile group trips to: London, Florence, Amsterdam, Bruges, Guatemala, and New Mexico.
