For over 30 years the Grünewald Guild has served as a creative and innovative example to the world of the transformative power of art and the sacred within the context of community. We are an ecumenical Christian community that embraces people of all journeys and traditions, serving as a sanctuary for their exploration of art, faith and the mystery of creation.

Katy came to the Guild by way of river, snow, and trail. She has a degree in recreation & leisure services and spent seven years guiding whitewater trips, instructing skiing, and leading youth on wilderness adventures. For two years, she lived with her husband, Steve, and small white dog, Ike, in their converted school bus. Katy is eager to cultivate her creative self by absorbing inspiration and instruction from the talented folks who make up the Guild community. She enjoys literature, engages in the written and fiber arts, and plays the flute and guitar.
