For over 30 years the Grünewald Guild has served as a creative and innovative example to the world of the transformative power of art and the sacred within the context of community. We are an ecumenical Christian community that embraces people of all journeys and traditions, serving as a sanctuary for their exploration of art, faith and the mystery of creation.
LODGING
We provide on-campus lodging in a variety of different buildings. Camping is available in the summer. The cost for lodging depends on the type of accomodation you choose, from dorm-style lodging with several twin beds and a shared bathroom to rooms with 2 twin beds and a bathroom accessible from the hallway. Private rooms can be reserved as space allows. One queen-size bed is available, as well as a yurt for those who prefer slightly more rustic accomodations.
Space for tents is available when weather allows, as well as R.V. hookups (electrical only, no sewer). For tent campers, showers and bathrooms are available nearby in our main building.
Some of our rooms are on a second floor--if you have special needs, please let us know when you pre-register (you can contact us at the office or make mention in 'comments' section of the online registration form).
Children ages 6-12 are free when providing your own sleeping bags, pillows & towels.
Lodging prices outside of our summer program are per person, per night.
Queen bed or private room (when space permits): $60
Shared (2 people/room): $45
Dorm: $30
Yurt: $20
Tent: $10 (per tent/site, meals are charged per person)
MEALS
The ringing of our bell signals our gathering for mealtime. Our meals are served buffet/family style and we sit together around a number of tables in our dining hall, sharing in conversation and wholesome food. If you are with a group and putting on your own retreat or program here at the Guild, meal times can be catered around your desired schedule. Our cook works to use as much locally sourced food as possible, including produce from our very own organic garden.
Breakfast: $10
Brunch: $12
Lunch: $12
Dinner: $13
Children (6-12): $6/$7/$9
Children (5 & under): Free
Regarding Food Allergies & Special Diets: Please let us know when you register if you have any food allergies or severe intolerances and we will attempt to accomodate you in our meal preparation as best we can. However, if your diet is too restrictive we ask that you bring along some of your own food to supplement what is prepared (we have refridgerators in each building to store any food items you bring).
