For over 30 years the Grünewald Guild has served as a creative and innovative example to the world of the transformative power of art and the sacred within the context of community. We are an ecumenical Christian community that embraces people of all journeys and traditions, serving as a sanctuary for their exploration of art, faith and the mystery of creation.
Perhaps no description suits the Grünewald Guild better than that of “community.” The testimonials we receive from those who visit and become part of this rather fluid group of people who make up the Guild are mostly about that intangible quality of life found here. Our community is most readily identified in our mission of celebrating the relationships between art & faith. However, what is less definitive—yet even more crucial—is how we celebrate the relationships between one another, and between all of us and God.
Some here at the Guild are Core Staff who work and live in daily community on the campus. Often times we have artists in -residence who contribute to the regular goings-on around here.
The community is also made of trustees who instill vision and guidance to the mission. Some are faculty, students and guests who enliven the campus with each event. Some are the supporters, volunteers and members who come and go and give and pray to keep the Guild going year after year.
